Sometimes in the middle of winter, when the air hurts your face, the landscape colors are dull and muted, and the fatigue and boredom kick in, find something or somewhere that lights that spark.
If you are a creative like I am, winter time can get me down and I meticulously count down the days until Spring when that glorious color returns. I often times loose my desire to push my creative limits. Luckily, I have an ever changing and active toddler who experiences new things in her life almost daily.
When my husband and I pulled up to Chick-fi-A to give it a try for the first time and I walked in and looked around, I knew I had to go back for my camera. Yes, it just happened to be in the car, what were the odds. This place, with its breathtaking windows and adorable decor hit it on the head. My vision was set. I selected a lovely window seat and let her take it all in. The chicken, the waffle fries, the fresh fruit, the exciting book, and the pictures of cows everywhere (a particular favorite of my daughters). With an endless supply of ketchup-smeared all over her face, food in front of her, and a book to read, she was in heaven.
Even if you are lacking a playful and energetic 2 year old, I encourage you to get out there and find something or someplace that inspires you. It can be the silliest of places- Walmart, museums, a greenhouse, Dunken Donuts, libraries, the list is endless. Find the color, find the light, find your spark. What will you find?
Come enjoy Chick-fil-A for the first time, through the eyes of a toddler....
I would love to hear from you on my Facebook post! Tell me about your inspiration, about your passion!!
